What guitar could I be describing?
« on: March 25, 2009, 10:43:58 PM »
I'm having a bit of a pickup swap around and I've ended up with a pair of TV Jones Classics (neck and bridge) lying around.  They're humbucker sized Filter'trons so will drop striaght into a humbucker route.

I'm thinking of picking up a cheap guitar to put them in, but I'm after something different and I have no idea what I'm looking for!  The specs I have are:

* Something with a Malcolm Young/Billy Gibbons vibe, not necessarily a Gretsch
* Something chambered or semi-hollow
* Doublecut bodies generally work better for me, but I haven't ruled out a singlecut
* 25" or 25.5" scale length
* Wrapover bridge
* Twin humbuckers to be swapped for the TV Classics
* Master volume, master tone, 3-way toggle layout

Is there anything like that out there?

Peerless could be good?  I'll have to look at the model range....

If you're going for Ibanez:

However it fails at the scale length and look, lol..

That's a good suggestion!  :D
