Nice stuff Dave - that's a nice looking thinline you based yours on. Did you have a spare relic case lying around waiting?
I think I hate being indecisive.

Ha ha!  As if!

That's one of my McCarty Rosewood cases.  It's been used, shall we say!

Cheers Dave.  It's got that bridge as it's correct for a '72 Thinline Tele and that's what Warmoth drilled the body for  ;)

Thanks for the kind words folks - I'm off to play it again.......

ah, ok, yeah that makes sense, thanks. i'm not too well up on vintage specs, haha :D

I've tried P90s, but I just can't get on with them.  Too fat in the bass for my playing style, I just accentuate their character  :(  The TV Classics are similar in that they're clear and zingy, but they don't have the flubby bass  :)

The guitar doesn't sound that humbucker-y, I'm getting some really good SRV tones out of it  :o

dammit dave, i really like my tv jones filtertrons for what they do.  i am planning a parts guitar like a decent version of a squier 51 with a original tele wide range in the neck and i already ordered a blackguard 50 for the bridge but you just made me think i should order one of those tv jones tele bridges to use the pickup i already have.... if i do that i need to build something for the blaggard too

build a trans-yellow swamp ash jazzmaster, white pickguard, with the blackguard horizontally like a jaguar...

Go and polish your tiny tele headstock, that should finish it off :)

Will do, I'll race you whilst you polish all the penile extrusions from your guitar. I think I'll win this race.
