why is a red amp $100 cheaper than a black amp?
« on: April 06, 2009, 12:15:10 AM »
Hey guys,

I just had a thread on buying a roland street cube but awkardly I'm seeing some weird price differences-

http://www.zzounds.com/item--ROLCUBEST

I also noticed this on another website or two (and ebay)

if you notice the red is 199 and the black is 295, is there any reason there would be a $95 price difference? It just makes me think something is "off" with the red ones but I could really do to save that money and buy a pedal or two.

Your thoughts?

I know early reviews of the product gave it some bad shitee and reading a few months later newer reviews were much better maybe they did minor upgrades the and cheaper one is the "old model?" Dunno just tossin thoughts out there.

Companies often make special colours which they think will go well only to find take up poor so they offer dealers discounts on them especially if they take a batch. If sales from the dealers are poor then they in turn pass on more of the savings to the customer. Thus if you don't mind the colour you get a bargain, my wife is the proud owner of a pink Vox DA 5 which cost around £55 a lot less than you can get a blck one for and perfect for her pink guitar.

So if you don't mind the colour and it fits your gear you can save yourself a wad to spend on that new nut and fret dress or a stonking pedal or two.
