cold sweat or miracle man neck for les paul

well i know that i want one of these two as i know they are meant to be quite similar just that the mm neck is meant to be a little hotter and more fluid.

so im leaning more towards the mm as i think itll suit me well and itll match with my mm bridge

the one thing im concerned about is are the cleans affected a lot by the increased hotness? i arent wanting super mega cleans just something along the lines of metallica/megadeth.

I dont think they are that similar...

Not sure what the MM neck specs are, but Tim has told me that its the hottest neck they do. The CS...well, aint that hot.

Could be wrong, but I'd check that out if I were you (or wait for someone to post that knows)

MM Neck : D.C. 17.5K alnico V

CS Neck : D.C. 8.3K alnico V

they might have very few things in common...Anyway I think both of them will cover the Metallica / Megadeth cleans.

I have not idea what other pickup would pair well with the MM voicing though....

I'd use a CS just because they sound awesome in Les Pauls - I generally don't like ceramic passive pickups but the CS is an exception.  Actually, it's up there for the #1 BKP spot along with the Mule and Abraxas.

Well, if you were gonna use those words I'd get a painkiller neck, but it does the necrophagist solo sound really well - better than the PK because it has that upper-middy chiming sound.

CS neck could be not so hot but surely it's fluid!

Antag CLips on the neck are very very good both on clean (awesome) and lead tones.

I fear the CS to be too polite and fluid, I mean not enough ROOOOAAAAARing to acheive the necrophagist leads that are dense and raw sounding, I think... (but I have to confess I directely jumped at 2 :22). 

That's more a question rather than a suggestion, but if the CS owner and necrophagist listeners already said the CS is OK, then do not take care of what I am saying here  :P

Its the right pickup for the job.
