From Vigier, you have the Ultra blues, which comes as hardtail or with a vintage trem:

The ESP MV and Caparison Horus mentioned are both good choices, but they're also both 24.75" scale length.

There's allways suhr ofcourse. All depends how far your budget stretches.

Why not just get a Mexican strat and change the pickguard to a HS one and install pickups of your choice

There's a version of the BC Rich Gunslinger with a HxS combo

Or there's the japanese Charvel Fusion Special that I'm selling (worth a try eh?! )

just ignore the middle pup when you play, it will widen your choice quite a bit ;p

Thanks for the info! I like that Vigier. I checked their site but I can't find where to buy (i live in the US). Also, I can't stand floating tremolo systems, I checked their site and it said for that model it only goes one way. Do you think it's like a Fender tremolo? I don't want a lot of tuning hassles. Thanks!

It's a Floyd Rose that is blocked off behind, and pivots on ballbearings. From what I've read, it's designed that way to eliminate tuning problems.

so, is it recent, or has it always been so...?

i personally haven't seen anything so bad that it'd put me off buying a GS. sloppy cosmetic stuff, sure, but that's all..

ffs! if you believe everything you read, then EVERY new product is worse than the one that preceded it...

my eggle new york's HS... you'd have to go second-hand, though.

as a lot of people have already said, if you're willing to go HSS, that'll widen your options considerably.

I could handle an HSS guitar. Just nothing with a floating trem. I'm afraid i'm going to end up with a Fender :[

plenty of people make HSS guitars. When you say floating trem, do you mean a Floyd? I mean, a Fender-style trem can be set up to float too (but can also be set up not to).

The H/S config is my favorite. Although I also like H/S/S just fine as well. Here is a pic of my Caparison Horus. It is awesome. Also that Bumblefoot Vigier will run you about $4000.

Pretty sure that's just incorrect.

This one is pretty cool

http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-American-Mahogany-Stratocaster-HSS-SG-Gibson_W0QQitemZ330325101514QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item330325101514&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

That's a nice guitar - but a terrible eBay ad!  What sort of person tries to sell a guitar by writing one line of text, quoting a few specs and reviews... and can't be bothered to take even one picture of the guitar in question?  :?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

That Caparison Horus looks awesome but there is no way I can afford one of those right now.
