pau ferro is sometimes called santos or bolivian  rosewood.  it is not a true rosewood because it does not come from the Dalbergia  family

it is often used as a rosewood substitute and i think fender often use it for the fretboard.  it tends to be a bit more browny/brick coloured than stuff like good EI rosewood

pau ferro IS NOT the same thing as brazilian rosewood, is it?

Thanks but I know very little comparing with the guys I'm trying to learn and acchieve the same level of knowledge ^^

ok if i get this with a rosewood or korina neck .... (cash atm is pretty darn low so may be a while before i can get it all done...)

but when i do... i was thinking i want it to be a darkish, muscular beasty, great for both metally(ish) rhythm work, (killswitch, bullet, five finger death punch etc.... and searing leads...with decent cleans too.... i know vague....)
i was pondering holydivers? or ceramic nailbombs?
got it wrong?
