Nailbomb problem(s)
« on: May 05, 2009, 04:05:18 PM »
Hey every1
:drink:

I just got my Nailbomb. Looks awesome but I have some problems with tinning it.. :(
My guitar is Ibanez RG1570 and I did the tinning just like at the manual says.. But: When I plug it in my amp, I hear some sound, but theres very loud buzz on the background on the bridge pickup and the neck pickup. And the weird thing is that I haven't touched to the neck pickup, wich is Ibanez V7. It was on my guitar when I bought it. In some forums they say that it might have an "cold solder". But how I fix this problem? How do I remove the tin?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

Does the buzzing stop when you touch the strings?  If it does it could be a ground problem.

Yes it did. But now I somehow fixed that problem.. So its not buzzing anymore. But the nailbomb still has a thin sound and very small amount of distortion..

Have you wired it out of phase by accident? That would make it thin with little distortion. Check the wire colourings.
