Some Motley-Crue-ish stuff with Rebel Yells
« on: May 09, 2009, 11:28:27 PM »

Starting to dig those RYs in my PRS RW McCarty more and more.

Here's another small clip, bit MC inspired (used the Ueber model in the Axe and replaced the tone stack with a Mark IV Clean TS):

The rhythm guitar sounded a little "transistor" to me, but the leads are cool! (may be also the terrible cheap speakers on the work's pc)

The rhythm guitar needs some SERIOUS E.Q.ing - that resonating noise spoils everything! I swear it's the exact resonant frequency of my ear drum, lol.

Reason is probably that the rhythm was tightened up with a tube screamer, which I disabled for the lead part (funny to switch OFF the boost for leads) - maybe that makes it a bit more transistor.

Yeah the rhythm sounds a bit funky, but the lead tone is brilliant.
