My NAD !
« on: June 15, 2009, 10:40:49 PM »
I finaly got my Egnater Rebel 20  :D Always nice to see the Postman coming with a big package  8) I like it!It was sent from the States,so,i had to change the Main fuse, switch to 230V and find another AC power chord (euro). But i was ready  :) and it's working fine !I just tried it for 5/10 min. but the cleans are very sweet & sexy !(Too bad Egnater didn't use the London Power Scaling .I think it's more efficient, esp. for high gain). And it looks beautiful on top of my Nomad &Marshall 4x12!Don't have my own pics yet but here it is:

Thanks guys! The amp is fine but i have a problem with the effects loop  :?!I plugged a Lexicon MX200 in the loop and...just a BIG BUZZ  :( Even with the Master on 0,i  get the same buzz.No other sound !I use the Lexicon everyday with the Nomad,no problem. Before i bought the amp,i specifically asked the seller about the loop's condition because many Rebel owners were complaining about theirs (static noises etc..) !(The guy said the amp was in perfect condition but.. he had never used the loop himself  !)I will try again tonight but i wonder why is there such a strong buzz even when the Master is on 0?

Sounds like a badly shielded cable to me. Swap cables and see if it stays. I had the same on my Ecstasy today.

I may be getting confused, and you know I'm not too hot on amps.... but what Ecstasy?  :?

can you try plugging the fx send from that amp into the return of another amps fx loop.
that would test the preamp out of your amp into another amps power amp stage.

you could also plug you guitar directly into the fx return to prove the input to the power stage works.

(or however the signal flows)

if it has switching jacks forming the loop maybe its a problem caused by one being opened up by a jack
