More pics from today, postman came and gave me a nice box shaped package.

What I've been doing. Internet. Scuzz with G'nR on. Cup Noodle and to the right is the window where I'm keeping post.

Bloody awesome photo.

Also an update that Martin said the cab wouldn't arrive in time and it'd come on Monday but I'm trying to get a tracking number etc and try and ring DHL to see if I can pick it up. But I don't even know when it'll arrive so I need that tracking number Martin, ASAP!

scuzz for the win. though rock fest and the hair metal etc. sections on vh1 classic are better, but they're only on for an odd hour here and there.

planet rock radio actually is probably the best bet for decent odds of hearing something good. :)

Radio 6 has some good stuff going on dependent upon the DJ spinning the discs.

Its Brucie on tonight and I might just cop a listen.

And I still think that's a damn nice looking guitar, even if it does make you look like a window dresser.

I'm surprised at the reception to my cabinet, I thought many would hate it, lol..

I am in mixed minds as regards the engraved scratchplate.

On the one hand it is refreshing to see something a bit different (i.e. something other than a generic skull or sticker/penis extension.) for a design on a guitar but on the other hand it reminds me of doily patterns from certain angles.

The cabinet on the other hand is pure class.
All you need is an attractive woman to straddle it and you have a premium piece of '80s guitar-related-peripheral porn.

I was actually thinking about replacing pickguard, just for a colored reflective one or something but I chose to keep it. It's original.

I would agree with you as I couldn't imagine anything else looking any better on it;- it is somewhat of the essence of that guitar in a way.

Hey guys, thought I'd re-bump this to say I got my RG back from the guitar shop.

I went in with my Indie Dragon to get it set up (and later sold) and the guy in there told me my RG was ready (having not rang me) so I was most excited and eager to play it again with the Painkillers in it, the Edge Pro awesome-ness and basically holding it again.

I plugged it into their Orange TT and played a few riffs, tried the clean sounds, every position, etc. then I said to myself:

"Hmm, that's a little out of tune."
"Yeah, he hasn't tuned it since it was set-up, he didn't have to touch that bit when he was fixing the back"

And so I tried getting a tuner to get it back into tune and stuff but to no avail as it would probably take me longer than the time I had (I had to work) so I was hoping they would, and seeing as the action was like a diving board's distance to the fretboard and it wasn't intonated.

But the guy said for me to do it myself, which kind of caught me off guard. Like I know how to tune a guitar, but.. oh well, I don't know..

The Indie's in, the RG's out.

Oh, and they fixed it by putting in an extended backplate so it goes over where the two cracks were.

Pics when I get home. I'm having ALL the luck right now I feel.

Jonny, what are you doing mate?

I only ask this because it seems like you are in some kind of abusive relationship and some of it must be your fault. This is unacceptable but you are accepting it.

Are you telling THEM what you are telling US?

Are you appearing to be satisfied?

Why are you still doing business with them?

Stand back, stop and think.

Then YOU change things!

Good luck dude.

I don't know where else I can get my guitars set up. The guy that dealt with the whole RG problem wasn't in, so I will most definately rant at him tomorrow or whenever he's in. Plus with the Vigier still unpaid I'm going to be giving them even MORE money, but I think if its going this shite I might just demand money and accept nothing else.

I am getting angry but I guess I should show some backbone..

Don't get angry.. just be honest.

Agree an acceptable outcome then only work toward that resolution.

Then walk away and learn how to work on your own guitars.

Draw this sorry episode to a close and don't add to it.

Madness is doing the same thing and expecting different results.  :?
