Maybe it's the photo but the string spacing at the bridge looks very suspicious.

Haha, true, looks more like a 3 string with octaves (12 string guitar style)

Never heard of it...

On the string spacing, looks like it's the, er, "set up" - try switching the colour to look at the blue one.

Never heard of them, but they look very, very cheap.  Bottom-of-the-range Squier equivalent?

Why the hell do they call them "Double Cutaway" and "Single Cutaway" and say things like "based on a patented Gibson design dating back to 1961"?  Are Gibson afraid of infringing their own model names for some bizarre reason?  :?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Hmm, not sure how they are legally connected, but depending on which law applies, it might be needed to protect the Gibson trademarks.

Well, actually I thought they'd sell Vibrola Trems, and I think that's where they could make some real cash. You can't get these anywhere it seems.

I must admit I thought that was what the thread was going to be about!

You can get a copy from Allparts.  Other than that there only seem to be vintage ones on eBay.

Good one Phil! Have you, or do you know anyone who has installed this system? Any idea of what the quality is like compared to the real deal?

I'd be interested in hearing this as well... looks like holes need drilling on the front of yer axe though  :?

EDIT: I've actually started another thread to stop hijacking this one - I've got more fundamental questions about this vibrato :D
