I really love his demos, informal, light-hearted and not takin' it too serious  :) I still have my suspicions that some cocaine is involved

I've now got terrible Yardbird GAS, I though the tone he was getting are exactly my-type-of-thing. Though, the AC30 may have something to do with that, as the best amp I have ever used was an original '60s one. I wonder how HTH is getting on with cloning the Tonemaster? Guitar amps are overrated, accordion amps are where-its-at

I like watching Phil X's demos too. He does seem a bit overly excited at times, but who wouldn't getting to play all that vintage gear! That steelcaster guitar sounded great with Yardbirds. I really want one of those Tonemaster amps that he plays through, they sound great!

This is torture!

I so want one of those Trussarts but they're way beyond my budget.

I could watch him for hours

I watched one of his videos last night, then another, then another. 2 hours later I was still watching!! I do like his style quite a lot. After watching I was so fired up about playing guitar that I spent the following 2 hours just playing.

I've not looked at his acoustic vids yet but will start soon - when I run out of electric ones to watch!

I must not watch all those videos. The GAS they will give will become unbearable.

Try the '59 335 clip - it is very GAS inducing!

Yep - it's right up my street. Not surprisingly I prefer the fender clips (apart from the 335). The mosrite 'the ventures' clip isn't great. It's the only one I've not liked so far!

Ian, that guitar looks exactly like my new MIJ Tokai ES130, if you have 335 GAS the Tokai is a great guitar to buy.  I've not bought many guitars that I have been sure of straight away but this one feels so 'right'.  Woody and warm, articulate and powerful, all it needs (there's always a 'but') is a very light rub with some 0000 wire wool to take the shine of the finish (can't bring myself to do it....) and some BKP's.  The Gotoh pickups are nice but we all know their days are numbered :D

Yeah - if I ever get a 335 again it won't be a Gibson model. The one I had was nice but probably over priced. The Tokai is probably the best option.

I watched pretty much all of the Phil X videos last night - major GAS. He's a really good player and singer. If only I could do both!

Which ones does he sing on?  I might like him better if I like his singing.
