Blackguard Flat 50s Do Hendrix!
« on: August 29, 2009, 12:13:59 PM »
This is my Bitsa Tele with BG Flat 50s into a ToneRider American OD, Moen Pretty Dolly and a Rat modded Little Giant.

One of my favourite songs to jam to - forgive dodgy singing and playing.

Party on, dudes.

Sounds really good.

Way more of a country-blues vibe when played with an old school type Tele.

Yeah - I didn't get the country reference until I played it to my wife.  After she p!ssed herself laughing at the "singing", she mentioned country 'n' western...

As a punishment I will post pics of her p!ssing herself later...

Really like the tone! The singing is a little too polite :D

I also find the rythm guitar a bit country, but that's not a bad thing. It just adds a different flavour to the song. The lead tone is just pure Hendrix. Very nicely caught. The flat 50s really sound great. I bet they could shake up a mean rockabilly tone!

That's one of the reasons I got one. Much of that early rockabilly stuff was played on early Teles and Esquires.

Simply add a slap echo and a little breakup. First song I played with the Blackguard was Folsom Prison Blues, it was dead on.
