So I finished hot-rodding my '96 Mexican Tele eBay spectacular last night hence my New Second Hand Fixer Upper Guitar Day. The story started in
this thread but I thought it should come here now that the project's done. Sound clips and better photos to come. I'm really happy with how it all turned out, the Piledriver/MQ combination on this guitar kicks like a mule, which is just what I wanted; it's a seriously raucous beast.
This is the first time I've ever completely taken a guitar apart and rebuilt it from scratch including wiring a new loom. Normally I limit myself to just installing new pickups so this project was as much for me to learn as anything else. Here's a few pictures telling the story of its transformation:
