Yep I tried a few, Warpigs, VHII and Abraxas. I liked the VHII the best, even more than my Mules. Warpigs seemed to have too much bass for my liking, and Abraxas sound very similar to Mules just a bit more compressed or something. I forgot to ask for a go on some Riff Raffs though  :(

i tried nailbombs, warpigs, and miracle man pups. Funnily enough i liked the warpigs the most(i hadn't even considered them; i guess i thought something looking that angry with that high output would be toneless - it would not) - monsterous bass, and huge driving high output is exactly what i need from my JCM800, which is very low gain, and very bright - Steve's new Giger ibanez (with 'pigs)->Keeley SD-1->JCM800=heaven!
LOVING the Mules!

I ripped it up on some MQ's in tims LP. HEaviest guitar ever but damn beautiful sound. Also, when i say ripped it up, i mean i tried to play a solo but obviously couldnt coz i was in front of ppl, Why do i always do that, lol, the typical nervous buyer syndrome. ARG. Anyhoo, the MQ's were sweet, im gonna get one with a single coil for middle position (not sure which) and a fernadez sustainer too :) This will either be a new strat project (warmoth) or an old tele shape/strat routed + contoured body and a tele neck. Im gonna use a five way switch for the 2 pups and a volume pot to controlling the sustainer.

The five way switch will be: -
1 - Mid Pup
2 - Mid + Bridge (coil tapped) in phase
3 - Mid + Bridge (coil tapped) out of phase
4 - Mid + Bridge in phase
5 - Bridge

Orgasmic!

Not sure why i mentioned all this to ya, but hey, it started off bout Music Live. I also got to my Rueban and BIFFY CLYRO. I nearly came

YER! Rock and ROLL!

Who was who on the BKP stand?! I spoke to an older bloke (I think!) and Tim, I just dont know who the rest were

Depending on the day, there was Tim, Steve, Ray and Hayden.  I was helping on Saturday.  I guess Ray and me qualify as older guys

Yep...very nice to play, sits well standing or seated. The Mules are really open, but dig in and they rock. Great guitar!

It is very nice to play, and the Mules sound great with all that Mahogany.   Of course I like the Warpig and MQ combination more on an Explorer

I know this question is loaded with self interest but has anyone got any feed back about my guitar with the Abraxas set? I've got the guitar back but being a lefty can't really give it a good workout.

Yours, deperately seeking info.......................etc

Yeah I played it. It felt really nice, I dont know what else to say   The only thing I didnt like that much was the gloss finish, kinda sticky, I prefer satin I think  :)

I recall you've had some problems with other guitars with gloss finish necks. I take your point and I'm finding there are more people than ever looking for satin or sealer coat finishes. Having said that I was more interested in what people thought of the sound.

Cheers Tom

I was hanging around the BK stand for most of the Saturday, and I couldn't get anywhere near your guitar!

It was getting handed around more than a spliff at a party though!

I was quite disappointed that I couldn't try it though, as I'm interested in 1 of your guitars and a set of Abraxas in the future :D
