Dave will either
- Start playing metal

I can do that with the rig I've got if I wanted to

- Or jazz

I HATE jazz!

- Play bass

Tried it before, didn't like it

- Set up a home studio

To do what? Record my sloppy playing?  What's the point!

- Change tastes in pickups/guitars/amps

Been doing that for 25+ years, I think I've reached the end of the cycle

- Switch to rack gear

Are you mad?  Move away from tasty hand built Martamps?????

- Go acoustic

I've got a 6 and a 12 string if I decide to do that

See?  I've done everything.  There's nothing left.  I'm finished...

If you've been through several expensive brands and boutique gear, the next step is vintage gear.

Vintage GAS is the most expensive one.

Too risky though isn't it?  With all the fakes around, and re-fin work etc, do you REALLY know what you're buying?  I'm not a risk taker, and I don't have the amount of crazy cash to gamble away anyway!

Gone off that idea.  Too much for an LP.  The only one I'd really want would be the signed and aged one, and that's STUPID cash.

See - I told you all.  I'm GAS free!

I do - I only use it for 'DC gigs as whenever I pick it up I always go into Angus mode!  I can't seem to play anything other than 'DC on it

Well spotted on the BKP front Tellboy.  When my PRS McCarty sells I'll be down to just the one set.  Having tried quite a few sets, I personally don't believe in the blind assumption that every guitar can be improved by a BKP pickup swap.  Some are great as stock, and others are better suited to different pickups.  All in my opinion and experience of course  :)

It's funny how my first set has been the only one that stayed!

Kinda cool, especially the white or black ones with Bigsbys, but they were a small run in the US I think.  I'd have to try one sometime, but I'm not lusting for one.

Yep, they're all mahogany - neck, body, top, back and sides.  I got them before they switch to using Sapele instead, and the J12-15 is now discontinued.

They weren't that dear if I remember rightly.  Around £850 for the 12-string and £650ish for the 6-string.

If you don't have GAS, I'd just say to start a new hobby.
