Studio Recording (Riff Raff and Mississippi Queen)
« on: September 20, 2009, 11:52:40 PM »
My band recently went into the studio and recorded a new song 'What Makes You So Special'. All the guitar parts were played through a cranked jcm800 4104 connected to a 4x12 cab, and boosted with a keeley modded SD-1. The guitar panned to the left and all the lead parts are my Gibson SG with Riff Raff bridge, and the guitar on the right is a cheap Squier Strat with Mississippi Queen in the bridge. The other track on our myspace is the same setup but just with my SG for all the guitars, however that was done in a different studio a while ago.

I think the vocals are needing a little more personality, it's a little "flat", if you understand me...

But the guitars sounds really good!

Yep, the guitars sound ace. Nice work. I'm a pretty cr@p singer, so I'll pass on commenting on the vocals.
