10 days and I'll be there!!!
« on: November 06, 2005, 11:33:43 AM »
after a 2 day stop over in Paris I'll be landing in Heathrow next Thursday... Man I can't wait. (I'll explain the reasons in another thread)

It'll be my honeymoon so theres plenty of sightseeing to do. But I'm coming with a stocked wallet. I fully intend to come home with some Slowhand pickups, Apaches and some/any cool stuff I cant get over here in Australia. Suggestions?

I'm booked in at Knockhill race course to drive a 355 Ferrari... That's going to be one of the highlights for sure.

Have a day out in the Charing Cross Road area and Denmark St in central London. Use Tottetnham Court Road Tube on the Central line. There's loads of guitar shops around there. Soho soundhouse sell BKP's!

Have a good time in the Ferrari. Knockhill is in Scotland, miles from London.

Whoa, cool. The 355 is one of the best most pure Ferraris ever made.

And congrats!

Yeah knockhill is pretty far from London. But my wife has a lot of family in Scotland. My sister lives in Chalford-st peters so I'll have some time in the London area.

I intend to see the Victory in Portsmouth. I'm also into WW11 stuff so there'll be a lot of visits to museums.

Oh yeah... 8 days to go!!! :D

JP, if you like WW11 aircraft go to RAF Museum Hendon- you can get there by tube. Also, Imperial War Museum at Lambeth- again a tube journey. Dont forget to go to Abbey Road to walk across the famous crossing- again a tube will get you there ( St John's Wood).

7 days to go!!!!

I realise this is very self indulgent. But heah... plan a huge holiday to the other end of the globe. now multiply that by 2.5. Thats the situation I'm in

This will be my only real opportunity for the next 20 odd years.

If I remember rightly, Knockhill's a tight wee circuit, there's a British Superbike's round up there, and I think the Touring Cars go up there as well. Should be nice for some tail-out action... ;)

Enjoy...!
