In fact there's so much making this "not one for me", that I only just noticed the coloured headstock!!

And of course that headstock swung it back the other way.... so now you want one!  :P

Nah, even on humbuckers I want tone controls. That's not saying anyone else is wrong, and I do indeed use the volume in it's "tone" capacity as well, especially on teles, but I've always set my amps up expecting to use both the volume and tone controls on the guitar...

I could get used to a no-tone-control guitar, but it wouldn't be nearly as versatile for me, and I'd have to completely rethink my use of amplifiers... and I'm far too old fer that

I found it hard to get used to a master volume - this has separate neck and bridge volume, which is kind of cool for me - so touche ;)

That's actually quite funny gwem - cos what you don't know is that with humbuckers, I want/need the two volumes - and two tones actually  (I felt a little out-of-my-depth on my Explorer when I first got it - only one tone...)

How the hell I switch from master volume to dual volume, I've no idea, but it just feels natural going between fender and gibson.

The only single coil guitar where I feel stuck with master vol and tone is my Danelectro - the bridge and neck are so different, I need two tones, and two vols really (for the middle position). The originals have them, dual-pots, but haven't got round to tracking some down yet...

On this John 5 thing I could get used to the two vols easy... but no tone? :(

wait what????

No tone?? NOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tone control is more important to me than the volume control (which is always at 10 for me) but I'm constantly using the magic tone button, moreso than I ever thought I would.

If there is mucho tele love around, I'm selling my Feline Tabby. It's probably the best made guitar I've ever owned but much as I love what Feline do, I just can't make it with tele's... my bad! It is a fab guitar and needs a good home. Let me know if it's of any interest to anyone. Could be willing to trade for the right guitar or amp.

Cheers.
