Posting this on behalf of woogie since his account got messed up and cant post here any more.

Woogie's friend who fought off cancer is running the london marathon next year and needs as many donations as possible so if possible can you donate any spare change you have in your paypal/bank accounts. www.justgiving.com/georgelafford

That's a bit close-minded, no?
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

Dunno.. I may well be wrong but if people on here can afford to spend £200 on a set of pickups and always buy new guitar/gear (I know this isnt everyone) then I get the impression that they're well off enough to donate a few quid to a good cause?

Maybe people just feel uncomfortable being asked to sponsor a "stranger"?

I did my 10k yesterday and thought about posting a link on here, but it seemed a bit cheeky somehow.  :?

Were it in person and I could see it was all legit, I would, of course. I've never refused a sponsorship before, and never will, in person. You hand over the cash you agreed to, and its all good.

But online? Not a chance, I'm afraid.
