I'm on my 2nd ipod, an 80G which is nearly full. I love them, they are one of the best inventions for music lovers. Take your all your music, over 10,000 tunes out with you in your pocket. Years ago this was impossible, so whats not to like. itunes is great too.

I'm a big fan of iPods too.

It's a shame I can't get a terabyte one, cause I've loads of music I'd like on it that doesn't fit, but they're still the biggest available, but hell, give them 3 years

The only other mp3 player I've had was a Creative Zen, which stalled every two minutes and broke completely in two months.

If you've got some nice grado save money on a smaller mp3 player and get a nice cd player (not a portable one)

I was going to buy the SR80, but they were going more than US$100 on eBay and then appeard this SR125 for US$99 AND shipping to Brazil... But it is intented to be used on portable media and not need to listen to these people who put the mobile phone to play mp3 without headphones...

I'de say get an ipod then. they are straight up and will do exactly what you need. Though I have found they sound very sterile they can be good with the right cans and they do now accept a few different formats (am I right there?) which is a big +

I personally loathe ipods, both the unit, and itunes.

Out of all the mp3 players I've used/spent significant time with - iriver, ipod, iaudio iwhatthehellsiwthputtingiinfrontofeverything, sony, creative zen, archos and one or two more I've forgotten the winners are

cowon iaudio, hands down.

They sound the best (close fight with a couple of sonys though; one discontinued model is actually better imo, but it would be pointless to bore you with that), battery lasts about 60 hours of play time on their standard mp3players, interface with a pc is exactly as though it were a memory stick (I am so never buying an mp3 player that needs any software ever again); you just plug it in and drag and drop, they play most formats (mines a little old now and only wont play mp4 - plays flac and vorbis and the like no bother), has a usefull EQ and other toneshaping kit. Theres no competition really; ipods are a toy by comparison.

You got me interested about it... I don't feel very likely on their website (and players) design, but I like this Cowon S9 - it's the only one with 32Gb...  Surprising enough I can buy it from Amazon.com :o

Good luck with it fernando, let us know how you get on with it if you get one!

Will, I wouldnt. They arent offensively bad and dont come with DMR/Adware (itunes) but I'd take creative, sony, iriver and iaudio over archos any day.
