math2014, you don't need to go to Greece to try a Plexitone. You only need to go to Manchester apparently:

I would suggest the Radial pedals, they are quite good along with the Guyatone Metal Monster.  There are a wide variety of possibilities in that box.  I used it on my Diezel VH4 on the clean channel 1 and it sounds amazing.  I stumbled across it as IMO the VH4 was seriously lacking gain.  Since acquiring it and messing with it, I have been impressed by the various possibilities of the Guyatone.
With all great rewards come potentially greater risks...Dare to believe.

Has anyone tried the HBE Big D vs the Radial one?

YO! Make sure u try out the EMMA ReezaFRATzitz DS peddal. At £119 for www.soundsgreatmusic.com its a bargain. I tried it with my IT strat through a Lany LC15 and it sreamed. Definately a high gain marshall-esque sound. IT was sick, im getting one for my DSL 50 on the clean channel :) sweet as boi!

ah, fair enough - i know that feeling! I guess yu'll be recommending it then by the sounds of things? i'd really like one actually. You wouldn't believe how much Ben preaches about it's greatness on the forum, AND on MSN. It's like he's being endorsed by them!.....o wait.....he is   lucky lucky boy :P
