Being the one who sold the pickup to the fellow, I'm becoming a bit perplexed by all of this. I ordered the VHII bridge pickup brand new straight from Bare Knuckles back in July, and specifically ordered it for the bridge position. I had it installed in my Gold Epiphone SG for about a month or so, but just felt like it wasn't what I was looking for. I had ordered both a Black Dog and a Riff Raff before for my Orville Les Paul, but really loved the Riff Raff, so I ordered one of those for my SG. Naturally, I still love it, and decided to sell the VHII, since there was no need to have it anymore.
When I had the VHII installed, I could easily tell that it felt much hotter than the Riff Raff or the SD Phat Cat that was in there before...very tight sounding, great harmonics, distorted much quicker, the VHII is a great pickup, just not what I was looking for; I guess you could say it was more of an impulsive/curiosity purchase. My advice would be to just install the pickup and let your ears decide, as someone else observed. I'm sorry the ohm rating wasn't what it's normally specified as on the site, but I can tell you that it feels hotter than the 8.3k or so that you found it to be. You'll never know until you try it, and I'm curious to find out your results. I've got a solid reputation on eBay and would never jip anyone like that. If it in fact was a neck pickup, it would be BKP's fault, and I would have been none the wiser. Please, give the pickup a try and see for yourself!

Joseph
