Why do you predict that Philly?

I think I hate being indecisive.

Hunter's not that much of a metalhead, I reckon soon he'll be hankering for some subtlety.  He was talking about putting Mules in it less than a week ago.

Of course now he can keep the MM just to prove me wrong.

Lol, well I wasn't THAT happy with the RYs, and I was just having a giggles today, changed bridge to MM with retuning in <10 minutes, quite cool!

But to my surprise I really dig it. Fat and it plays itself, pinches jumping off in spades. We'll see. Clips not today, but will try soon.

Cheerio

I must admit there are times when I wish I had a guitar with a pickup like that, so I do know where you're coming from.  I remember an old Guitar Player review of an EMG where they said "notes gush out like water from a firehose"  .   But whenever I tried high-output pickups in the past, I always tired of them quite quickly.

(Of course I'd like all my guitars to play themselves.  That'd be great.  :) )

A miracle Man in a Les Paul or PRS has a lot more versatility than you'd think .
I have one in mine and I love it to death and I swapped out a mule to put it in and the contrast wasn't so night and day as the mule has a fair old kick to it as well
It's not too crisp sounding as some might fear - it's a fat sounding pickup and it's great for Classic 80s rock and will do a bit of metal too.

Jonathan, with my 1 day of experience, I can second that. It's much more versatile than one might think.

I was surprised how fat it sounds on the clip - I was expecting piercing treble, to be honest.

Great clip to demo the MM. Just shows off the smooth mid character exactly as it is

It's not like that. It's thick and tight, with great string separation and sustain.
