I think it's a Renault Laguna. This is what it looked like the morning after.

Make up a load of bollocks about it being a car bomb and your photos will be worth much more and you may get another NGD!

Aye, that's (the remains of) a Laguna. That sucks for someone. BTW, don't overprice it with regard to getting some cash from the local fishwrapper for using the pic - most papers will plead poverty these days!  :)

Suprise suprise. Like I said, most local papers are bloody tight. I should know - I used to work on one. Always making BS claims to be at the centre of the community and so on, but as soon as the question of them actually paying for their use of someone else's work comes up, they back off pretty rapidly.

You didn't send them the pic yet, right?

Sent a pretty small, heavily compressed jpeg. They haven't featured it in the paper, anyway.

Smart move. I remember one photo editor gloating like hell whenever anyone sent him a decent high-res image of something like this, and asked for a small fee. He used to give them some BS about 'We never pay for freelance pictures', but say that he'd give them a pic credit out of the goodness of his heart.

Conversely, it always used to really piss him off when someone sent a small low-res sample and asked for cash for anything useable, especially if it was something of which he had no shots. That always used to amuse me though!
