Has anyone else noticed that the engraved "50th Anniversary" Duncans look just like Bare Knuckle pups?

My point EXACTLY!!!!

If anyone recalls ... some people are 'straining the gnat and gulping the camel' as it were.

"Let's split hairs over words and in the meanwhile, we'll just wholesale rip off your design" ... grrr.

Gotta take it as a compliment  :D

Or you could sue them and use the money to create a series of special Forum-Member Only Pickups!
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away...

I think we'll just stick to doing what we do best, making pickups and playing guitar-haven't got time for stone throwing. I'll get in the ring anytime but throwing stones is for kids with too much time on their hands.

I must have arrived late to know what you're going on about but I'm guessing that there was some bad remarks made towards BKP on the SD forum????

That takes the piss, Seymour Duncan sucks, that's why I'm replacing mine...

What's all this about Tim ripping off some of SD's wording then?

I think Seymour Duncan is the last person who wants to be accusing ANYONE of ripping something off, ahem (coughs) PAF! SETH LOVER!

He makes good pickups for the price, but if you want a PAF repro there are much better options out there, same if you want a hot pickup.  For a mass-produced pickup, they're not half bad.

I've always been a fan of the Screamin' Demon pup, the rest of em I can take or leave ...

Tonight I finish the set up on my Miracle Man equipped guitar, so I'll see if that opinion changes in the near future!

I changed mine P59(very good), and the Jb(mammothly worse), and I ain't looking back for that artificial sound again. Man you could spend all your live believing that they are the real thing, I rather explore, venture, try different things looking for the TONE than grow old and ignorant  :)
Just passing by

I think it was the FAQ, but they're hardly ripped off since they're universal truth's that apply to all pickups throughout the world. SD are a little like McDonalds, the foods shite but people go to it because they know it. There's some cracking places to eat in my town but I practically have to drag people in by their hair before they'll "test the water" with something new and unknown.
