i think one of my mates has some.   He had a 76 'the paul' that came fitted with EMG's.   

we ripped them out and put the original t-tops back in.  It instantly sounded much better but i think it was still a little hot for him.   Not sure if he sold it on or not

That guy has some really amazing guitars for sale!  All reassuringly expensive, though.

I've put in a few offers on that '74, but all refused - they were sensible ones too!

It sounds OK but c'mon it aint that great  :roll:

Maybe I'm too aggressive and heavy handed but SG's feel like toys to me and it feels like I'm gonna rip the neck out of the body. The necks move around tons too!
