Which P90 for a Les Paul Special Double Cut
« on: April 10, 2010, 07:52:57 PM »
I might get one of these and was wondering what P90 would work best - Vintage correct suggests the Alnico II but does the fact it is a slab of Mahogany militate towards an Alnico V P91?  I play classic rock and blues so AII it the choice at the moment.
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set

You could split the difference and go AIV?  That's what I have in my BKP-91.

I had regular P90s in my LP Doublecut and loved them.  I think they'd be spot on for you Elliot.  They were great at that just-breaking-up tone.
