Nice one Ken! I wonder why Marshall themselves don't buy it for their museum? It's not like they can't afford it is it? If I were super wealthy I'd buy it and give the old boy a little more too, just because it's Marshall on the Headbox doesn't mean it was just JimBob that built/ designed/ R&D and put the hardwork in.

Nice work Matt!

And sorry to Ken about my pricing comment

Great piece of history, but I wonder who other than Marshall has the cash to buy it?

Slash? There must be loads of wealthy players who would see that as loose change... and collecters of course. I don't think Ebay is the right place mind although it is a good place to let the world know it's for sale. I would think a Christies auction would be better?

Can't see Slash or anybody like that buying it to be honest.  I bet he'd pay that for SIR #36 or #39 though (the Appetite For Destruction amps).

It would need to be a SERIOUS Marshall collector, maybe the guy who own the Plexi Palace?

That ad is pretty badly written. Old people with less than perfect grammar make me sad :( (Maybe it's just because I call my grandma 'grammar'). Anyway, that's a crazy amount of money for an amp, but there're a lot of disgustingly rich people in the world, so I wouldn't be surprised if it sells.

Sure, but the same can be said of property, and I know which I'd rather spend 300k on

me too.  the amp! :)

property market is a pet hate of mine.  it's responsible for a lot of the ills on our society.  but that is ever so slightly off topic

the amp is a wonderful thing to see, and surely just as important in "rock history" as any '59 Les Paul or '54 strat.  £300,000 may seem crazy, but is it any more so than what gets paid for those old guitars?
cry HAVOC!! and let slip the pigs of war!!!
