Ta all!

Nice one :) Don't get my results for another month but everything this year (and last) has been around 70%+ so hoping for a first as well!

Good luck, Tom!

Thats the attack plan I'm going with, spent the last few days making sure I'm really happy with my CV, don't suppose there's much point in sending a 'hard copy' of the CV as everyone uses email, I'll follow the email up with a phone call.

I wouldnt be so sure on that.

When i was in HR at CSS posted CVs/Applications always got first viewing and if the right candidate was in there the others didnt even get looked at.

Never understimate the power of formal mail....unless theres a strike on

and congratulations on your results

Ta for the advice, guess I better buy lots of paper :-p

Cheers guys, I've just calculated my average for coursework this year is 76% (roughly the same as last year overall which is 1/3 of the weighting) so it's looking promising, just got 3 exams and my final year project to be marked. Can't wait to get the results.

Still had no luck with jobs, the only one I've found so far is totally unrelated - mtb tour guide in Tenerife, haha. I'm actually tempted to try it for a few months, would be an experience!

Sounds better than a real job  :D

I'd go for it while you've still got chance.  There's planty of time for cr@p jobs in the future
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Results are up, I got a first as well :D

The tour guide thing didn't work out though, decided I wasn't fit enough. So back to looking for a proper job

Yeah, big congratulations tom :D - firsts are tougher to get than the people with 2:1s etc might tell you

I only got a "pass" back in "ye olden days" myself... (mind you, we played guitar, read LOTR, etc, a lot more than actually doing any studying back then...)

Well done Tom!  :D

They were saying on the news this morning that there are 70 applicants for every graduate vacancy!  But having a first (or 2.1) will help a lot.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

It's 69 apparently - maybe they said 70 on BBC Breakfast so Sian Williams wouldn't get the giggles.

Going to start re-applying like mad with my new CV. Is it tw@tty to put "(BSc. Hons.)" after your name? It seems it to me..
