Hmmm, sounds more like a complete sell-out to me  :? .  But at a good price.  :P

it's a sell-out where you can look at yourself in the mirror. As long as you don't look too hard. and the mirror is kinda steamed up.

I caught a fair bit of this programme (to-ing and froing from the Dukes of Hazzard film ) and came to the same decision of JBJ that alot of you guys seem to mention (and his keyboard player too).

'Selling out' or not, I'd much sooner be doing what he's doing and playing gigs all over the world for a d!ck like JBJ than what I currently do which is 45+ hours a week in an office for minimum wage!
Selling lots of gear, enquire within!......

Yup, I think the band are simply doing a job (albeit not a normal 9-5), getting to enjoy themselves and then they have opportunities they wouldn't have before. Sambora's projects means he is meeting loads of big guitarists, and the Keyboardist now has time to do his musical thing he was on about

A guy in work is going to see them tonight at the O2.  Kid Rock supporting, apparently.

What I hadn't realised until now is that "Without Love" is an absolutely blatant ripoff of Perry-era Journey!  :o  The difference being that Journey songs are actually good.

There was plenty of Journey and Aldo Nova blatantly ripped off by Bon Jovi in the early days
They did a good job of it though - I still like the first 3 albums

Blimey, I'd forgotten Aldo Nova!  I've got a few of his on vinyl.

I ended up listening to the first three Bon Jovi albums on Spotify yesterday - I think the first holds up best, but 7800° Fahrenheit has some good stuff!

Aldo played keys on  a track or two on the first album as a favour

Years later Jon returned the favour and enabled Also to release the Blood On The Bricks album

Aldo's first album remains the classic though

Listen to the guitar solo on She Dont know me  (from Jovi's first album) - ripped straight from Neal Schon - and later stolen by UK rockers Shy as an intro on their track Hold On to Your Love from the Brave The Storm album

1980s geekiness getting the better of me

I was in school when "Keep the Faith" came out and loved it to bits! Great album and some great guitar playing from Mr Sambora on it. Sadly, everything later was a heap of .... .

I liked These Days which came out after Keep the Faith, a bit of a change of pace but some very nice playing on that album.

I was a big fan of Sambora's Stranger in this town album too, it's what made me want to play guitar in the first place.
