Any word from Tom yet Paddy?

How about two different studios on this meet. One for high gain one for everything else.

Hot eh? You want to try driving a lorry around London. Mind you because I'm so tough I wore a parka with a furry hood and turned the heater up full.

It was ff hot yesterday so rather than roast to death in traffic jams I used my iPhone to look at the jam spots on the TFL cam app and avoided them and kept moving thus ensuring a constant airflow in the cab.  :D Who was it who said iPhones were cr@p!  :P

No word yet. I've not sent him a PM tho. I'm not 100% sure he reads the forum anymore.
GREAT GOOGILY MOOGILY!

Think I'm off biking somewhere in Shropshire that weekend! Most of my spare time is taken up by bikes at the minute rather than guitars. Healthier, I suppose

As for the underground, I was on it loads yesterday having a touristy day in London, it was uncomfortable to say the least!

its not looking good at the minute - £97.00 return is the best I can get (Newcastle - Kings Cross) :(
Boo! what about National Express coaches?

National Express are cheap enough (£16.00 return), but its 7.5 hours each way - with my arthritis I'd be aching like f*uck after sitting down for that long  :(

Easyjet are a joke too - thick end of £100.00, then transfers from Stanstead into Kings Cross and Tube all-dayer.

Think it's gonna be a no-show for me I'm afraid.

Right, open invitation to anyone who lives in or around Northants and between Kettering and London. I'll take you there if you have no viable means of transport.

Paddy

would Newcastle be considered out of the way as a detour?

Yes...

Seriously, though, they all sound a bit metal for me... I'd love to see any of them!

Looks like I might be down to one geetar myself. My preference is my IT'd Roadworn 60s strat, but Philly wants to hear Sultans, and they're in my Roadworn 50s strat.

So it's looking like one strat from me (possibly two if I feel strong).

Other (servicable and carryable) alternatives are:

  • Baja Tele with humongously big frets and BG Flat 50s
  • MIJ Custom Tele with Yardbirds
  • Tokai Love Rock with Mules (definitely one guitar only if it's that one)
  • Gibson Faded SG Special with Riff Raffs
  • Brian May Guitars Red Special with, er, Brian May pickups (Burns tri-sonic)

I'm definitely in, BTW.

What I bring with me will depend largely on my mood on the day... :)
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)
