VHIIs used on Poppy alt. rock production
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:53:27 PM »
Hi guys,

I produced a local alt. rock band yesterday:

The main guitar used was my Kramer Baretta with VHIIs (all except one riff that we used a stock Fender Stratocaster for), into a modified version of the Axe-FX's stock "Hell's Bells" patch.
Drums are Toontrack S2.0 w/expansions.
Vocals were tracked with a Shure SM7

Let me know what you think!

well produced indeed nolly, great sounding guitar which , no surprises is the focal point of my attention.i'm interested in a set of vh11's or at least a bridge, from what i've heard there's nothing i don't like about them.
what about you?(i'm not very knowledgeable on hbuckers)

The VHIIs are absolutely excellent pickups, the neck especially. They are clear, open, and punch much harder than you'd expect given their DC resistance. Very, very versatile too.
