In the UK we had a move towards licensing wireless microphones etc but in europe they want to use similar frequencies ranges for mobile devices, or something like that, which would cause a problem potentially. cheers mainland europe. Licensing makes sense. wireless equipment has its uses but the electromagnetic spectrum is only so big.
I'm not into all this 29th gen phone nonsense. give me two cups and bit of string, or a smoke signal any day.
I often wonder about when people talk about living under pylons and radioactivity from mobile phones, just how much people are aware of transmissions going on around them at all kinds of powers and frequencies.
for example... one day in work we lost some channels because a guy building the Westfield Shopping Centre had parked the cab of his crane directly in the path of a highly directional line of sight microwave link. So he was sat stopping some TV, and getting blasted by microwaves at the same time... catch ya later sperm count!
