There is huge amounts of incompetence from someone in the office who plans out who does what ect. He really is just thick to be honest but he lies to cover his own arse and dropped me right in it this morning. So i had a massive row with him and he accused me of treating him like a Lawyer!(I did nearly have him nearly in tears with relentless cross examination!!) He on the other hand displayed all the body language of Kevin The Teenager from Harry Enfield. He lies and believes his own lies, then sticks his head in the sand. So I had a word with The big boss's son and he already knows the problems he is creating and wants him out. He said go home and relax and I'll have a word with the old man and sort something out. So I could be back but I had to walk today as I would have strung the silly prick up by his nuts if I didn't!

haha wow. as long as the boss knows what's going on (and as long as there's not some silly politics or avoiding-getting-sued thing going on), hopefully it'll be alright.  Good luck :)

Good on you Johnny - although it is a huge shame and sad indictment of bad management. It sounds like this has been an issue for a while and that it should have been sorted out a while ago. It shouldn't be down to you to put people in their place and get things moving!

I'm 'lucky' enough to work in an office where most people work very hard and don't take the p!ss.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Its a real worry because if this gamble doesn't pay off i'm f*cked! It was a very honest and calm convo with the Boss's son though. So i should have some faith but its dog eat dog in my game...hold up, phones ringing.....

Blimey!! Result! They asked me back in and put The silly sod on invoicing! I'm employed again!

Johnny - you may have an anger problem and an almost clinical aversion to those who have far lower standards than the very high ones you set for yourself.

Good lad.

" Scientists believe that the basic building block of the universe is hydrogen because it's the most plentiful element.  I contest that.  I think stupidity is the basic building block of the universe because it's far more plentiful".   -  Frank Zappa.

Thanks chaps! I've been through some jobs since I've been on this forum.

Fbloke, yes your right I do get angry with people who don't try their best. In my type of work, you can't have idiots running the show or we loose customers. This bloke was taking the stick your head in the sand approach too much.
I got angry with that so called band I was trying to do too. I've thrown the towel in on that now. Long term doleys will loose and let you down all the time.

I have a similar attitude but have learned to take deep breaths in order to prevent changing my biochemistry harmfully due to the idiocy of others.  However, I've got a lot of respect for people who make no such concessions and just dish out bollockings or quit on principle.  It's called passion and we don't see enough of it in this country - we passively accept mediocrity with one breath then whinge about it with another.  I think Roy Keane's rant at Mick McCarthy before walking out during the world cup in France is a classic example with how to deal with someone who is being stubbornly cr@p:
