That's gonna be one heck of a guitar when finished. Looking real good. That aged boss set's gonna give the guitar a sweet look.

I have finally finished.  Well almost finished last year but was made redundant so have been busy.  Had my knobs aged on Thursday so now I can say finished.

Plays fine even though I just bolted it together.  Could do with a setup maybe take it to Feline in the next couple of months.

Body MJTele off of Ebay, Bridge Wilkinson had the chrome stripped off back to the nickle, knobs off of Ebay again with chrome stripped and a bit of something else plated on to look aged.  Pickups Boss aged set. Pickguard MJTele. Screws control plate and pots/wiring Fake58.  Selector knob off of Ebay.  Neck Fender 79/80 ish.

This is good timing for me, as I just bought an MJT hardtail Strat body (thread elsewhere).  How do you find the quality of it?  And interesting to see where you got your aged parts, I'm going to have to start acquiring some now.

I was really impressed with the MJT body,  exactly as described and the ageing to me looks great, woodworking fine as well.

Not sure if it is true or not but I read somewhere that MJT cuts the bodies for  http://www.glendaleguitars.com/ .

Really like this guitar, you've done a great job: all the elements have come together really nicely. Also loving seeing a build go from initial idea to completion - I think they're my favourite threads of all. Clips and more pics please!

Good luck with knobs, hope they're still fully functional despite being aged. ;)

I love bitsas.

To age nickel hardware, get hold of some etchant solution. Available cheap at most DIY electronics stores and used to etch circuit boards.
