I came to the conclusion my favourite BK is the black dog in the V, and asked Tim whether he thought it would work in the Explorer.  It's partly your fault!

He had an EMG in the bridge.   I do think of it as a Jesper sig model.

I'm feeling old now.  I didn't know who "Jesper" is or what "Reroute to Remain" is.  :(

I have heard of In Flames though.

Yeah, but he left the neck pickup stock didn't he (probably because it never got used...).  Anyway he was the only "famous" guitarist I could think of that actually used a voodoo, hence my comment.

NFE - I didn't think Reroute was all that bad - certainly not their worst (the last one surely takes that prize...)

Certainly wasn't the worst, but it was the beginning of the end.

"Soundtrack to my escape" is actually one of my all-time favourite albums, so I guess we'll just agree to disagree there :)

Sorry for the threadjack, BTW.  They are mighty fine looking BKPs :)

I think the last one is the worst.  I can listen to the other 3 of the modern ones, but not A Sense of Purpose.
Next one will be interesting without Jesper.

Should get the pickups installed tonight.

They are in, and sound fantastic, a little more cut than in the Flying V, expected due to the woods, but not harsh in the highs, unlike a few other pickups I tried in it before, and plenty of lows.  Really look the part.

Need a setup now, and then pics will follow later.

Thats good Phil.  My cousin's friend hasnt got out of the 70s, had never heard of Metallica, and considered Maiden a "new" band.
