Will wilkinson 6 post trem (vsvg) fit on a Fender Jap strat?

Every Strat i`ve ever come across is routed for single coils. US, Japan, Squire, Mex`s

My 2002 Fender Highway 1 strat is routed for a humbucker at the bridge.

The Fender web site gives details of the routing for some of the guitars, eg one of the Highway 1's "Unique features" is "H/S/H Pickup Routing".  Perhaps the changed the spec after mine was made?

Yep, it's the highway 1s I'm thinking of with regards to the routing

:D i thought you were talking about a standard Strat. If the Highway 1 is sold as a H/B bridge strat. from Fender then i would asume that the body has been routed for a H/B.

Even S/S/S highway one strats have a humbucker rout in the bridge underneath the scratchplate.. from doing a bit of research no other series has this rout :(

:D I`ve never seen a Highway 1 all single set. i allways thought that the Highway 1 series was all H/B bridges. otherwise whats the difference between a highway 1 all single coils or a standard Fender strat with all single coils ?   :?

Different hardware and pups.  I think the bodies and necks were made from slightly cheaper materials than the USA Standard ones also.. they're discontinued now anyway
