I just love how they seem to have so much fun with each other on stage, heh. But besides that, brilliant clip and pretty darn good sound quality too!  :D

Wow, excellent - thanks for the link.  Exit Stage Left is one of my all time favourite albums :) but is it my imagination or has it been remixed to sound slightly less bass-heavy than the album?

Interesting how Alex downpicks all the notes on the 7/8 intro riff bit - on the R30 DVD from a few years ago he alternate picked them & it sounded much smoother.

& that double-neck Rickenbacker is a monster

Thanks for posting that :D

It's reminded me that I intended to get Replay X3 a couple of years ago (I think this is off the first disc).

But yeah, what a stunning band. I could have seen them a couple of times between All the World's A Stage and Exit Stage Left... I wish I had... but I thought they were pompous nobheads at the time... (the big "Rush-fan" in our circle was a bit odd, and banged on about them incessantly - he even met them on one tour - he went on about them so much, and put down other acts in comparison, that probably the rest of us ignored them just because of it - stupid bluddy teenagers... )

I'll just go off and find Replay now :D

Firewalls at work are preventing me from looking at this. Will be taking a close inspection tonight.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Time for a bumpity...

I ordered Replay X3 on the strength of this thread. The first one arrived pretty darn quick... but there was two copies of the Grace CD in it instead of the Grace DVD

It went back, and then they was awaiting stock... and then when I got home today, there it was on the mat finally! :D

Just watched "Exit" - stunning stuff - and yes the footage posted here is from this DVD. Just started "Grace"... and he's still a bar-steward

Btw - I bought the documentary at the same time (Beyond the Gilded Stage? Think that's what it's called, buggered if I can find it now, I think the missus has hidden it!). Rush fans, see it. I'm not a big fan, but this film is excellent, even the missus liked it (first time, anyway). I had no idea how amusing these "serious musos" are... and there's quite a lot of interesting footage, including live stuff of the original line-up playing a school/college. And a hilarious section with Lee and Lifeson trying to find the church hall they did an early gig in - they spend ages in one church convinced it's the one, the pastor showing them round etc... and finally they figure out it's the one up the road...

I've been playing Permanent Waves lately. Jane hasn't complained once, maybe I'm slowly getting there. It took me a while to get her to accept Neil Young stuff, a little longer so far with Rush.

Yes Moog Taurus. Saw them live in the '80's in Rotterdam. At that time they already had a huge sound, considered they are a trio.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
