Richie Kotzen telecaster
« on: September 11, 2010, 09:28:56 AM »
Hello guys

I'm on the market for a richie kotzen signature telecaster but am struggling to find one anywhere. I don't suppose anyone knows anyone who has one for sale or knows where I might get one. I'm ideally after a used one to save some money.

Cheers

You see them on eBay fairly often, but that's importing from Japan so it ends up pretty expensive.

There's a guy on the forum called "tekbow" who bought one fairly recently, I think it was from a UK shop - you could try asking him where he got it.  "Pete24v" has one too.

Here you go:

Good luck. Almost impossible to find one over here. I wish they would sell it over here though, they look gorgeous.

been a while guys sorry, had some personal stuff happening..

coincidence i checked back now though. Yeah i got that guitar from a shop called imported instruments in edinburgh. not sure if they have any left, in fact they don't but they may have access to some of the greens ones if your not fussy about colour. give them a ring, because the website isn't updated so much.

sadly this guitar is discontinued.. apparently.. so import from japan or a lucky find in europe might be your best bet..

a bit hypocritical to say but i wouldn't buy online.. i've bought 2 guitars online and been very very lucky, not all of them are like that, and with shipping charges and import tax this will start getting pricey fast

saying that, played 3 of these in a shop in sunburst and 1 in green, so a decent sample and they were all supurb.

if you can get one from imported instruments, and they can guarantee it, i would wait. the guitars are few and far between and from what i've seen of them and spoken to them about, they have an excellent relationship with fender japan. if anyone can get it they can

Perhaps it's some kind of sign? From the mind of M Night Shyamalan...

One of his recent ideas, I'd guess, following the exponential decline in the quality of his films....

Good news, managed to find a used one for £750 going to collect later on today. One thing is that the guy has taken the Chopper T stacked humbucker out of the bridge and put a fender custom shop Texas special in place of it. Has anyone got experience of these pickups? I think I might be on the market for a chopper T or some kind of replacement as I want to be able to get sound dirty sounds out of it.
