The bit at 3:48 in my vid is my favourite.

No idea, one small head was unbranded, and the other amp was facing backwards, however it looked like a 4x10 Blackface Fender of some sort or another.

I'll ask him next Monday as I'm going to see him again in Liverpool.

Some Swedish amp thing turned the wrong way to avoid deafening the front row.
Didn't work

And EVs project, man. When the stage is at head level…

That will explain the distorted recording and deafness then....

Last night in Liverpool he was great again and spent 5 mins chatting with Shobet and I after the gig - The door staff ended the conversation because they were closing up - really nice guy, seemed like he would have been happy to talk about guitar gear all night.
I'm sounding like a broken record, but go and see him if you can on this tour - he deserves a bigger crowd.

Been a massive fan of Phillip Sayce since the days with Melissa Etheridge, but I've got the 2 solo albums, the 1st is him really trying to do to much, but the last one (interevolution) is absolutely spot on, great songwriting and guitar playing. As usual I kep meaning to get to see him, but never have the money when he's around.

Just got back from seeing him at the Borderline in London.  Haven't been that close to the stage at a gig in many a year!  Pardon?

Crikey and double crikey.  That's proper live music.  And for the avoidance of any remaining doubt, this is not $%&#ing polite at all (speaking of which, Matt Schofield is at the Borderline on Saturday).

I have to say, Sayce's #2 Strat has the ugliest sunburst I've ever seen in my life.

So I take it you enjoyed yourself? Rumour has it he'll be back over this side of the pond sometime early in the new year. I'll be off to see as many of those gigs as I can!

As you said, it's propper live music and the gurning is also fantastic!

I wouldn't worry about the sunburst staying intact on the #2 strat, did you get showered in flecks of the finish in-between his sweating like a ####!! all over the audience?

Definitely enjoyed it!  Sadly(?) I was out of paint/sweat range, just about (and being a shortarse, I get get shielded by those immediately in front).

He did the long-cable audience walkabout too.  An old routine, but a good 'un.

Pick the bones out of that for a live performance. Nice to see the JH ethos translated for a contemporary audience.

I'll have to check him out next time. Even if it's just to check out the strat
