Thanks, glad you like my socks, Dave  :P

Pity those Tech21 pedals have cab sim on the out that can not be deactivated.

It deactivates its self (supposedly).

gwEm, I don't think it deactivates itself. Maybe it's less dulling than other amp sims though. I read in several places that it doesn't sound good in front of an amp, too compressed, but that it sounds great into an amps FX return (or a tube poweramp=> guitar cab), which is exactly what I intend to do with it.

The new character series pedals (Rectifier, Orange and Hiwatt) all have extra buttons for cab sim deactivation. I wonder if that will ever come on the Liverpool.

sansamp claim:

Quote
Another aspect of the technological advancement of SansAmp,is a single output that is physically com-
patible for any application.SansAmp’s Universal Output makes it possible to use the same output with
the following:

Then they go on to describe the hifi / lofi mode that the universal output can produce.

I think the EQ on some of the SansAmp models is post-gain, which would make make any cabinet sim easy to compensate for in any case. I had good experiences with it at least, but have often wondered exactly what they meant by this universal output.
