I've had it before. A particularly scathing one of my 'right hand technique' comes to mind. Unsurprisingly when I asked to see their videos and have some pointers on technique I got nothing in return!

I think you could count yourself lucky, there... they missed a trick :D

:D I imagine Afghan has a good right hand technique.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Amusingly, one of the best forum arguments I've ever seen was on a miniatures forum, people going bananas about what colour Ragnar Blackmane's hair shpould be

I had to look up who Ragnar Blackmane is. A quick google search and a look at some forums showed me that some people build their life around Warcraft.

Warhammer. Deeply important difference there...

Oh - they're not the same thing then. Perhaps I should get on to one of the forums and ask which one is best

I think it did a few years back if memory serves. Used to play, but never had the patience for all the painting so found I couldn't really keep up the hobby. Shame really.

yeah i bought the starter set (ages ago), but I couldn't be annoyed with all the painting and sticking the wee models together. Also price wasn't helpful, too.

Very expensive, yeah.

I've not played in about a decade really, probably a bit more. Around 2003 me and a couple mates bought stuff and started painting again but never got back into it and that fad died awful quick. I fancy taking it back up again now and again but the average age of players now seems to be in the low teens rather than late teens through to mid twenties like it used to be.

i was very into the miniatures about twenty years ago, got quite a few, and used to get white dwarf every month.  but i was more interested in rpg's than warhammer, and as white dwarf gradually became nothing more than a citadel miniatures catalogue, i drifted away from it.  i still have my thrud the barbarian, chaos toilet and the warlock miniatures sitting around though :)

Warhammer eh? I liked playing but not painting...just actually sold all my  minatures on Ebay for a nice wedge.

The GW shop in Chester --- i went in there to grab one of the Dan Abnet novels and i don't think the players in there were even BORN when i played it....and i mean i'm only 28 so possibly exagerating

"Squats you played? What are they? Dwarves in SPACE? No way!! Whats Space Crusade? Cool! Man o War? The rubbish band? etc"

As for youtube trolls -- i ignore them. In fact i pretty much am inactive on the net in general -- far too much hate and needless trolling. Musicians can be really bad and hurt peoples confidence (just like 'that guitar shop guy' we all know!) -- especially the bed room shredders who call current bands shitee etc -- they don't realise that it's one thing to be able to learn to COPY a song and something completely different to be able to WRITE a song that other people want to learn to play and listen to -- which is why the trolls are usually the copiers and not the artists  8)

Ahhh, the old Ragnar Blackmane chestnut. *sigh*   :D  That one is still raging on is it? Hehe.

The newer metal models are going through a bit of a bad casting stage at the moment, I hope it's not a permanent thing. They keep sending out mini's that are pitted or some of the detail is lost, and they need a HELL of a cleaning-up before you can even think about undercoating. Quality has gone down-hill for sure since the good ol' Lead miniatures we used to poison ourselves with!

BTW, anyone has any metal models they can't shift because they're painted or whatever, let me know.

Back to the topic at hand (yeah, sorry for the unintended hijack back there, heh), I actually read through YouTube comments for fun sometimes. I just find it hilarious that a) some people out there are so bored that they will say things to get a reaction and b) there are people who STILL bite, even though Trolling has been around since the dawn of the internet!

Fun times, but if it happened on my personal vid, I'd have to delete some comments fo sho.
