Which BKP humbucker to choose for an 8-string w/ 1 humbucker?

Hi Folks,

I've decided to replace the shitety EMG 45DC that's in my custom made 8-string monster. The guitar is a bolt-on, 27,5" maple neck with wenge fingerboard, purpleheart body with black walnut tone block in the middle. It has a single bridge humbucker, and the 45DC is definitely not for guitars, sound good for clean stuff but it's rather harsh for distorted tones. I really like the way the Lundgren M7 sounds in my custom made ash/maple 7-string, but I love BKP's (tried a lot of humbuckers in my Jackson RR24M and my custom PRS copy), problem is that I don't really know which model would be the best for an 8-string tuned to drop E (E-B-E-A-D-G-B-E). I guess it would be something that's not too hot and has a moderate low end to make the lowest E stay clear even with s distorted sound. I thought that Cold Sweat or C-Bomb would be the best fit, but if anybody used BKP's in an 8-string before, please don't hesitate to share your experience.

I've never used an 8-string, however I've listened to quite a few good ones and am familiar with BKP.  From your description, I think a Cold Sweat is in good order.  :)

Thanks, I've tried to read as much opinions as possible both of the C-Bomb and the Cold Sweat, checked out the sound samples on the new website (which is killer with this new design!!!), and decided to go for the C-Bomb, because my instrument has plenty of top end, and according to the diagrams the two pickups have almost the same voicing except for the Cold Sweat has more top end.

the chart isn't that precise
the c-bomb is a 10% overwound cold sweat, so it has approximately 10% less top end and 10% more bass and mids (according to Tim)
the cold sweat is quite bright, but not overbright or ice picky
