gibson flying v pickups

hello guys ... this is my first post her, i would appreciate if you can give me some suggestion about a bridge pickup for my flying v
i have right now rockfield mafia in the bridge, and it sucks....
i like the sound of the holy divers that i have in my ibanez, but i dont know if it would work well with my gibi
i play mostly 70s rock and 80s metal, sometimes progressive, but i guess you got the idea...

HELP !!

Ask forummember gwEm. He's an Vee-expert. My taste would be a Black Dog or a Mule. Kravitz plays Mules in his V and they sound awesome. Mules can do heavy rock/ metal too with the right amp. The BD's have a stronger midrange and a tight lowend. They do hardrock/metal too.

I have a Riff Raff (b) / Mississippi Queen (n) in my V and it'll pretty much cover everything you mention with the right amp :)

a riff raff would indeed be a good choice here. it depends on the sound of that particular V. if you want more presence in the mids you might want to consider an A5 Mule. Riff Raffs nail the 70s rock thing though, and you can hear how well they do with contemporary stuff with the new website clips.

well i hvae used holy divers in my ibanez rg and they sound wonderfull... il like that kind of beefy 80s tone.. any recomendation

gibson V's tend to sound dark and mid heavy
the riff raff would make things even

I've not heard a Mule A5 but I've heard good things about them. And I have standard Riff Raffs and Mules, so I have some idea what they might be like.

I'd be choosing between Mule A5 and Riff Raffs myself... personally I'd be leaning towards Riff Raffs, I don't think you could go wrong with those.

This is my first time posting and I have basically the same question as hendrixk....and seem to play the same kind of music. Seventies Rock, eighties thrash, and stoner sludge. I actually have Riff raffs in my Vee and while I like them somewhat, I feel that they don't offer enough punch and power. I have emailed Tim and he suggests the Cold Sweats....but I am loathe to get a ceramic pickup as I seem to prefer the heavier mid range grind that seems to be present in the alnico clips but more absent in the ceramic ones. I've been toying with either Nailbombs, Rebel Yells, or Black dogs. Any advice would be appreciated!

Tim himself used to own a gibson gothic polka dot V with nailbombs
I've seen that guitar for quite cheap on ebay a couple times

well i allready order riff raffs,  lets see how they work, hopefully i wont have to buy again another bridge pickup, or i will kill myself, or just sell that guitar xD
