No need to run, just hook up your aftermath axe and play an open drop riff, the guy will shake and fall down from an eargasm. I'm wondering if its tightness could frighten burglars at night.
I also think I'll rename if to 'Call of Whales' because its the first pickup I can get such instant squealies with so much presence. Its so easy to make harmonics yell even on a .60 B string. :P
After having told aftermath seem reserved to djent addicts I must say I wrote faster than I played it. The neck is pure velvet and mids, better than the nailbomb neck (yes Eric you read it, I said something is better than the nailbomb :p), less hollow feel, sounds more deep and lovely. The bridge is just bone crushing and organic sounding.
Also the magnet is freaking strong. I noticed that I had tendency to push the strings down when playing heavy palm muted riffs. The magnet made them go further and I had to lower the pickup as it did not stop to get catched in the bolts. It produced a very middy snarl :D. I was like uh, that the aftermath mids ? Then I noticed my lower strings were glued to the pickups bolts.
Surprising pickup and far more versatile than it seems. I'm aftermath'ed too.
