Open white coils! If you're gettin warpigs, definitely go with black bolts, otherwise both nickel or gold screws will look fine (nickel matches the frets and gold matches the hardware... your preference).

I'd simply go with gold covers. It's a classic look that looks awesome in a Les Paul.

i will think about it, thank for the tip, guess it will look a little too much with both gold covers and gold knobs? i do have the original knobs so if i decide to try gold covers i at least have a backup plan ;)

I'd either go for one of your first choices or gold covers.

Open coiled with gold screws will look badass and less shiny (not fond of gold hardware) ! Do it !  :P

I think straight up gold is your best bet here. The Eclipses with aged binding work better with the "black with gold screws" covers.

Ok, for once I'll be a nice guy and not the usual... :-)

I did change the pickups on my Eclipse for a while.

But I went back to the EMG 85/81 combo.

I know it's not gold covered, but it might give you some more ideas. I was thinking actually myself about replacing the black EMGs for the gold EMGs, but can't really see myself shell out that much money for identical sound, just different looks.
I also though about getting black covered Bareknuckles (a Black Dog set) with gold screws. That would be a great look I bet.

Those were black and creme zebra, the flash makes it look more like black and white.
Black and creme is also the color that ESP used on their Eclipses with passive pickups as standard configuration btw.

+1, open poled black coils with gold screws!, perfect overall aesthetics for that guitar IMO. :)

I loved how my les paul custom looked with white coils (not impressive when looking close, but they really catch the eyes from some distance)
also liked it with camo covers
now with black open coils it looks really generic
I'm gonna have an aged gold pup on the neck and open black with double gold screws in the bridge soon

thanks all for your suggestions, i'm very tempted to choose reversed zebra, but i notice i have age white binding, wonder whats look best, creme or white, btw age white is whiter than creme but darker then white ;)

i had 2 zebras, did a quick test to get a more feeling for what it should look like.. guess it will work, will definitive look better with pickups under the strings and without cables ;)
