My first set of BKs
« on: February 12, 2011, 06:26:29 PM »
First of all I would say I was very impressed with the costumer service from BK. Tim was very helpful and the email response time was incredible. I ordered them on a Mon and they arrived in week, not bad from England to Canada and I was updated throughout the shipping. The set I ordered was the warpig set (ceramic bridge) for my Jackson soloist. The main complaint I had about the guitar no matter which pickups I put in it ( many duncans) is that it was lacking in the bass, bright and very thin sounding. Needed something to wake up the guitar, well the warpig not only woke up the guitar it pissed it off as well. The bass response, low mids and shear output of these pickups are incredible. But the best thing about these pickups and I was not accpecting this was the sustain. After 2 years of trying different pickups in this guitar I finally found the match. It's been 2 weeks and I do see these pickups ever leaving the guitar. Jackson should just put these in at the factory. Great service, great sounding pickups, I think BK got a costumer for life.

It's nice to know you found your perfect match .  :)

Tim's advice is great for helping that to happen of course.  As you pointed out, with B.K.P , it's not just a question of " How do the pickups measure up against X brand pickup ? " - it's how the whole B.K.P. experience measures up.  You and I also prove that there is 'Something for everybody' ,  whatever end of the sonic scale / niche you occupy - and as many on here can confirm, the customer service stays top notch through the years, even for magnet swaps and pickup cover changes e.t.c.

this is exactly how i felt when i got my miracle man back in 06.

I still have the exact same pickup yet it has been through 4 or 5 different guitars now and sounded absolutely awesome in every single one of them!

It is definitely 'my sound'

Also welcome to the club

Warpigs are known for slaying in Jackson soloists. No doubt you chose the right set.

Congrats!

Tim is fantastic from the customer service aspect, he goes waaaay above and beyond what he needs to do. Got some warpigs myself, currently sitting pretty in a sg knock offthat sounds far better than it did before. Welcome to the BKP family!!

Thanks guys, it really is about the whole experience. I think the new website is really going to help sales. It's very well laid out with lots of good info about each pickup.
