 - First guess. :)

I thought you had a SM bridge on this SG, cf http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=19460.0

While we're at it, was it RR bridge and SM neck also on your howlin' wolf cover ?

BigB, hmm. I did have the SM as bridge pu until I switched, that seems to be prior to the switch. The guitar is the same.

On the Howlin' Wolf cover, hahaa! Well, yes. RR bridge and SM neck :)

But I only used the Riff Raff. Also for bass, dude.

If I may ask: what made you switch to RR ?

NB : Sorry for all these questions - currently shopping for BKPs for my own SG

That's cool.

Just so you'll know, I don't know jack shiteeeeee about guitars!

I just wanted a little more kick in the bridge. That's why I switched. I enjoyed the tone of the SM a lot - very organic, the way I like it - but I needed something a bit more mean and grizzly.

I suppose Tim would know whatever anyone's looking for.

Yeah yeah yeah - and not even how to play, huh ?-)

(lies, damn lies, and guitar players pretending to be humble )

I suppose Tim would know whatever anyone's looking for, though he's probably drowning in e-mails. Oh well, at least business is good. :)

Oki, thanks. FWIW, Tim suggested RR bridge and the Mule neck for me, but I can't help thinking SMs are something I'd like to try out one day.

Thanks again for the feedback - and congrats for the Howlin' Wolf cover BTW, really enjoyed it.

Heha.

As far as I'm concerned, I think you can trust Tim's judgement.

As far as I'm concerned, I think you can trust Tim's judgement.

Did three time already - and one occasion, going against my first choice and I didn't regret - and always been happy with the result.

Quote
The SM at a time was something I insisted on, which I didn't regret, but something else might have been better. The RR for me personally was.

I was getting the Mule for the bridge, but Tim suggested I should try out the RR. He was right (not that I've tried out the Mules yet, but the Riff Raff is excellent!).

So I'll trust you and Tim (once again). Well, hopefully one day I'll be rich enough to get me yet another guitar just to put SMs on

Thanks again mate
