I did wonder what had happened to the lad!

There was a thread about "biggest influences" which was getting quite active one night with comments about his YouTube channel..... I thought that might get locked but then suddenly he disappeared altogether.

Never saw the offensive image though.

In summary/more directly - I'm fine with this guy being gone, but I take a certain degree of vicarious pride in this forum being a civil place of its own accord, by virtue of the members (even if I am from time to time one of the less civil members), not by threat of the banhammer.

Some say he has his own youtube channel and that he cyber attacks guitar forums for 4chan by posting 50 times a day.....

All we know is..........he's called The Stig!

 :D

I'm usually a very placid guy but for someone reason this particular one got to me. I did unfortunately post some rather immature comments aimed at him - again something I don't necessarily do.

I'm very glad that this episode is over now. It wasn't the end of the world but it did makes this a less great place to visit.

Well done to the mods if you did something to sort it quickly. And yes, that image was completely inappropriate.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Just a suggestion folks - how about we forget he ever came here and just get on with our lives?

I agree Frank. I thought it would go one of two ways- either he'd settle down and become a regular or he'd cause offence and get banned. Shame really but there you go. As has been said, this is a great forum and I value my time on here and learn a lot. I also like the camaraderie we have built up from folks with all different ages and backgrounds. Onwards and upwards and it is great that the revamped website has brought some new blood in and hopefully a good proportion will join in.

I also agree with frank.  I shouldn't have started the thread really, but I was just curious as to the banning.

I knew most of the kids in that school were gobshitees when I went there

I kind of see this place as a pub, with everyone sitting around having a few drinks.  If someone comes in on speed then they're not really going to be welcome.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I often write a lot of gubbins on here, so who was I to comment?
Anyway, I put the boot in to him straight away just to entertain myself and Shobet.
Thinking about it, I'm turning over a new leaf. I think I probably come across as a purile idiot on here most of the time. I'm going to be more sensible with my posts in future.

It's a shame he couldn't just enjoy the forum. I was looking forward to hearing his thoughts on the Miracle Man he ordered, even if he had the place all tagged with graffiti. This is one of the few places online that I can get good, humble advice on gear without getting sucked into who's King of the Forum. The BKP forum is very well rounded out. You can be "wrong" and seventeen 14 year olds don't come out of the woods screaming misspelled words that end in z.
